Old Sanawarian Society

Rooted in the legacy of The Lawrence School, Sanawar India’s oldest co-educational residential school, founded in 1847 the Old Sanawarian Society (OSS) represents a lifelong bond that extends far beyond the campus. Established in 1914 by Rev. George Dunsford Barne, the OSS has evolved into a global fraternity of over 6,000 members, united by shared experiences, values, and a deep connection to Sanawar. From intimate gatherings in the early years to a worldwide presence across India, the UK, North America, the Middle East, and Europe, the Society continues to bring Sanawarians together across generations and geographies.
